Hi, I’m Sinead (also known as Star) and welcome to my blog.

I am someone who can express what I’m thinking better in written words than I can in spoken words. When I speak I stumble but when I write I flow.

My blog was started as an outlet to share my thoughts, ideas and experiences while I navigate this thing called life. Over the years I have ventured onto other platforms and I hope to create a range of different content.

I hope you will enjoy it here and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

No pressure but if you would like to follow me in other places you can find links below to various different social media platforms I use.

  1. My wife has ME. She was advised to take up some regular light exercise. She joined a gym and takes part in a yoga class there. It has helped slow the progress of the condition.
    Good luck and stay well.

  3. Congratulations on finding the motivation to blog whilst dealing with CFS. I suffered for about 2 years and it was all I could do to get off the couch to pick my pre-school aged kids up from the school bus. Writing would never have entered my head. Fortunately mine was relatively mild compared to many others. Though I didn’t feel very fortunate at the time. Even the doctor told me it was all in my head and I should see a psychiatrist. If he’d only known the effort it took me to get there that day he wouldn’t have wondered why I left in tears. Luckily for me I found a different doctor who was not so dismissive. Stay strong. You’re not alone.
You never know what positive outcome there might be. I had one. I was too sick to cook dinner every night. My husband started doing that. He’s so good at it that he’s still doing it … 25 years on.

    1. Blogging is something I really enjoy and gives me a place to have the option to write things down if I feel overwhelmed. I’m so thankful that I am able to do this. It’s so nice to hear you had a positive outcome with your husband cooking dinner. 🙂

  4. I had similar thoughts regarding my blogging voice, and do believe that my voice is unique to me and that by blogging I also verbalize things that others persons feel/ think but don’t write down.

  6. I clicked on the link you had posted and mentioned that I had never heard of M.E then I noticed your name was M.E. I just thought those were your initials. I thought I had better investigate further and here I am. I really had never heard of it. Bringing attention to it is the first step.

  7. Dear Sinead,

So sorry that you have to deal with M.E. — I knew a young woman who suffered from it, and saw all that she had to deal with, including rationing her activities, then recovering from them.
So glad, however, that you’re blogging about your experiences — blogging will be therapeutic, I’m sure.

    Best wishes, and welcome!
